I have been going to Wake Wars in downtown Grand Rapids, MI for the past 3 years now and everytime time has been a great time. It is held at the parking lot of the B.O.B. which is a big building full of bars and clubs. The whole weekend is packed with wakeboarding and fun. Here are a few videos for Wake Wars 2011

Ice Breaker Wakefest 2011

The Ice Breaker is a charity event that I have helped out with the past 2 years along with Adam Wensink. The weekend is full of activites to help raise awareness and money for cancer. Each year Adam brings out a few Nautique boats and we give people free pulls as well as put on a little show for the crowd. Check out the media coverage and some video from the event below!

Ohio Represent!!!!

So its moments like these that make me proud to say I'm from the Mid West! My friend Adam Wensink, fellow Hyperlite Legion Team rider and Nautique Boats rep, has been kiiiiiiiilling it on the board for years! I have always looked up to him and his riding and he has helped me out a great deal over the past few years. Adam has never lived down south to ride, and he is living proof that you don't need warm weather year round to progress! Shout out to Stuck In Ohio for putting together this awesome edit!!!

New Chapter of Life

So I finally made the move, new chapter of my life starting in Florida now. A lot of people said they were surprised it took me this long to make the move, but regardless I'm here now. The trip down was unexpected, last minute and really crowded, in my car at least. Threw together a little edit of the long trip down.

Big Move and a New Home!

I have always been asked by people "So you wakeboard, why don't you live in Florida?" Don't get my wrong I always wanted to but didn't really have a way of going about it, not to mention that I just finished up getting my degree in Indiana. I came down to Orlando a month before Wake Games to get some practice in. Little did I know I would be making the decision to make the move to FL while I was down there. I took a position to coach, live, and train at The Wakeboard Camp in Clermont, FL. On top of the I am also doing some filming and video editing for LearnWake.com, which is a great online wake instructional website. This is a big step for myself, my riding, and the next chapter in my life, and I couldn't be more pumped on things to come.

Orlando Training

So last week I came down to Orlando to get a jump start on my season and I will be here for the whole month. One of the places I have been riding is at Adam Field's Camp in Longwood, Florida. Here is a little edit of Adam and I shredding. More videos to come from this trip so keep checking back!

While Hyperlite Rep Thad Nurmi and I were in Boston for the boat show we cruized up to New Hampshire and rode for a day at Loon Mountain. We were there for 5 hours and got 12 inches of fresh powder! check out the tree runs we did!

Boston and Boards

So this past weekend I was in Boston for the New England Boatshow. It was my first time in Boston so it was a pretty cool experience, don't ever try to drive around that town it's crazy! I flew out with Hyperlite rep Thad Nurmi on Thursday to set up the booth for MacCallum's Boathouse. The show started Saturday so Friday we drove up to Loon Mountain in New Hampshire and snow shredded all day. It was pretty epic since it was was dumping power on us the entire time! Saturday and Sunday we worked the show for MacCallum's and had a great turnout. Thanks to everyone who came out!

Grand Rapids Boat Show

So this past weekend I hung out at the Grand Rapids Boatshow at the Action Water Sports booth. At the show Action had set up a winch jump demo. From Thursday to Sunday I rode in 9 demos total. Check back soon for a video from the show.

Winter Fun

So while remaining in Ohio over the winter and travelling all over the region I have also been spending a good amount of time snowboarding at the nearby Mad River Mountain. They have one of the best parks in the Midwest so it's always super fun. Check out this video with myself, Matt Vermillion, and Josh Bell!

The new "Hype"-rlite System Bindings

So if you havn't heard yet, Hyperlite has come out with a new binding technology called the System. It looks like a snowboard bindings for a wakeboard but everything about it is designed for the water. It's the next big thing, lots of questions and debate has surrounded this new concept. All I can say is don't hate until you try them out. Here is what the Hyperlite Pro team has to say about them...

Minneapolis Boat Show

This past weekend I was posted up in the Mastercraft booth at the Minneapolis Boat Show helping out Hyperlite in the pro shop. Even though it got down to -20 degrees we still had a good turn out and a great time! Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth!

Chicago Boat Show 2011 / Rail Jam

This past weekend was the Chicago boat show.  I went up and helped out in the Hyperlite booth and rode in the railjam that was put on by Step Up Production from Wednesday through Sunday.  Across the 5 day period we did a total of 12 rail/jump demos with the help of JD Webb, Kyle Alberts, Shawn Watson, Phil Soven, Joe Montalto,  Erik Ruck and myself.  Check out some of the footage shot throughout the weekend

New site/blog!

Hey Everyone!

For the past 3 years I have been heavily involved with the wakeboarding industry.  Along with that I have been studying as a full time student at Indiana University.  It was been tough balancing school with riding and traveling but it has always been fun and worth the effort.

I recently graduated with a degree in Sports Marketing and Management in December 2010.  For me this is a huge weight off my shoulders.  Now with more free time on my hands I am excited to now put all my time in effort in to training, traveling, and supporting all of my sponsors. 

I started this blog with the intention to keep friends, family, and sponsors updated on my travels and adventures.  Along with that I hope to grow and push the sport of wakeboarding with content I post on here.  Keep checking in for videos from events, comps, clinics, and adventures as well as product info and instructions.  If there is anything you would like seeing on here please let me know!
